The “Hit”

Worried that Ken Eto would squeal on the Chicago Outfit, Eto's boss, Rush Street Captain, Vincent Solano, ordered a hit on Eto to keep him quiet. Hitmen Jasper Campise and John Gattuso failed in their attempt to kill Eto and ended up tortured and murdered in a case that remains officially unsolved. Below are images from Campise and Gattuso's murders.

Eto's Car

We see Eto’s car that he drove to supposed “last supper” with Vince Solano. Campise and Gattuso have Eto drive.

Bullets

Afraid that he would “spill his guts”, Eto's Mob bosses decided not to gamble on Joe’s ability to remain silent. He had to be eliminated and a “hit” was ordered. Joe Eto never talked, nevertheless the Mob still tried to kill him. But the “hit” was botched and Tokyo Joe walked away with three bullets in his head. The mobsters who failed, were soon killed.

Eto's Head

Gun shot wounds to Eto’s head show the severe angles which went around his skull and never penetrated although causing massive bleeding to appear as if he’d been killed.

Botched

Jasper Campesi and John Gattuso were both tortured and then murdered for failing to kill Eto and for putting the mob in a vulnerable position with the FBI. The following images show what agents uncovered from the trunk.
